Refund Policy

We want you to feel good about your purchase. If our analysis didn’t work or didn’t help, we’ll refund you. This policy explains when a refund is available, how to request one, and how long it takes.

1. When You’re Eligible for a Refund

You can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase in any of the following cases:

  • The analysis failed. Your report was marked “failed” by our system and you did not receive a usable analysis.
  • We couldn’t read your PDF. The file you uploaded was a scan or an export format we couldn’t process, and you didn’t receive findings you could act on.
  • We never delivered results. You paid, but no results page or email ever arrived, and support was unable to resolve it.
  • You’re not satisfied. You used the Service in good faith, reviewed the analysis, and genuinely feel it didn’t help you. Tell us why so we can improve.

2. When a Refund Won’t Apply

  • Requests made more than 7 days after purchase.
  • Reports where you submitted a document that was not a home inspection report (for example, a random PDF, bank statement, or blank file).
  • Requests where the analysis was delivered, used in a real negotiation or purchase decision, and refunded only after the fact.
  • Chargebacks filed without first contacting support. Please email us first — we will almost always resolve it faster than your bank will.

3. How to Request a Refund

Email support@buyerwise.app with:

  • The email address you used at checkout.
  • Your report ID (the last part of the URL on your results page, e.g. /results/<report-id>).
  • A short note on what happened or why the analysis didn’t work for you.

You do not need to include your inspection report or any sensitive information in the email.

4. How Long It Takes

We typically reply within 1 business day. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

5. Data After a Refund

If you’d like your uploaded PDF and analysis deleted after a refund, let us know in the same email and we’ll remove them. Otherwise we retain them under the terms described in our Privacy Policy.
