When you use BuyerWise, we may collect the following types of information:

• Uploaded Documents: The PDF home inspection reports you upload to the Service.
• Property Metadata: Information you provide about the property, such as state, ZIP code, year built, home type, and square footage.
• Contact Information: Your email address, which is used strictly to send you the results of your analysis.
• Payment Information: When you purchase an analysis, your payment details are processed securely by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

2. How We Process and Use Your Information

Our core service involves extracting text from the PDF reports you upload and sending that text to a third-party Artificial Intelligence provider (Google/Gemini) to generate an analysis.

• PII Stripping: Before sending the extracted text to our AI provider, we run an automated process to strip common Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as emails, phone numbers, and labeled names. However, we cannot guarantee that 100% of all sensitive information is removed.
• Third-Party AI: We use enterprise-grade AI APIs to process the extracted text. According to our API agreements with these providers, your data is not used to train their base public AI models.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

We are committed to minimizing the data we store:

• PDF Files: The original PDF files you upload are temporarily stored in our secure database buckets to facilitate text extraction. We automatically delete these PDF files immediately after the AI analysis is complete.
• Extracted Text and Results: The raw text extracted from the report, the property metadata, and the final AI-generated JSON analysis are securely stored in our database to allow you to view your results page. You may request the deletion of your specific report data at any time by contacting support.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or uploaded documents to third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the Service:

• Cloud hosting and database providers (e.g., Supabase, Vercel)
• AI inference providers (e.g., Google Cloud/Gemini)
• Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)
• Transactional email providers (e.g., Resend)

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
