Getting started
What does BuyerWise do?
You upload your home inspection PDF, pay $10, and within a few minutes you get a plain-English breakdown of what the report actually found — prioritized by severity, with ballpark repair costs and negotiation talking points. Results are shown on-screen and emailed to you.
How long does it take?
Most reports finish in 2–3 minutes from the moment payment clears. The results page refreshes automatically, so you can leave it open and wait, or close the tab and check your email.
What kinds of PDFs work?
Both text-based PDFs (the kind most modern inspectors produce) and scanned PDFs (photocopies, phone scans, older reports). Max file size is 50 MB.
If something goes wrong
My results page has been “analyzing” for a long time.
Normal analysis takes 2–3 minutes. If you’re past 10 minutes with no result, something likely hiccuped on our end. We automatically retry stuck reports in the background, so most of the time it will resolve itself within a few more minutes. If it’s been longer than that, email support@buyerwise.appwith your report ID (it’s in the URL on the results page) and we’ll take a look.
The page says “Analysis Failed.”
This usually means our AI couldn’t make sense of the file. Email us your report ID and we’ll either re-run the analysis for you or issue a refund — your choice.
I never got my results email.
Check your spam folder first — transactional email sometimes lands there on the first send from a new sender. Your results page (the URL you were redirected to after payment) is always the source of truth; the email is a convenience copy. If you can’t find either, email us with the address you used at checkout.
The upload failed / the site says it couldn’t read my PDF.
A few things to try, in order:
- Make sure the file is a PDF (not a JPG, HEIC, or Word document). If your inspector sent it in another format, use Preview or Print → Save as PDF.
- If it’s a very large file (over ~100 MB), try re-saving with lower-resolution images.
- Try a different browser. We support the latest stable versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
If none of that works, email the PDF to support@buyerwise.app and we’ll run it manually.
Payments & refunds
How much does it cost?
$10 per report, one-time. No subscription, no account required.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If the analysis fails for any reason, or if you’re unhappy with the quality of the results, email support@buyerwise.app within 7 days of purchase and we’ll refund you. Please include the email you used at checkout and the report ID.
I was charged but never got results.
That shouldn’t happen, but if it does: email us with your payment receipt (or the email you paid with) and we’ll either deliver the results or refund the charge — whichever you prefer.
Privacy & data
What happens to my PDF?
We store it just long enough to run the analysis, then delete it. The extracted analysis results and basic property metadata stay in our database so you can come back to your results page. You can request deletion of your report at any time by emailing us.
Do you share my data with anyone?
Only the service providers we need to run the product (hosting, AI inference, payment processing, email delivery). We do not sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Is the AI trained on my report?
No. Our AI providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for training.
Using the results
Is this a substitute for a professional inspector or contractor?
No. BuyerWise is an AI-generated summary to help you understand what your inspector already documented and to prep for negotiation. It is not professional advice, and cost estimates are ballpark ranges, not quotes. Always consult licensed professionals for final decisions.
Can I share the results with my agent or a contractor?
Yes — the results page has a “Download PDF” button, or you can just share the results URL. Anyone with the link can view it.
Can I run the same report twice?
If you want a fresh analysis on the same PDF, you can upload it again and pay again. If you’re trying to re-open results you already paid for, use the link in your confirmation email — no second payment needed.
